Hi all,
Just looking for some advice, I have an Asus N66U with one GS105 prosafe downstairs and one upstairs. This is my network map:
Asus N66u - Xbox 360 - Boxee Box - cat6 for downstairs switch - cat6 for upstairs switch.
Downstairs switch - Readynas Duo V2 - Youview Internet PVR - Apple TV
Upstairs switch - Home PC - Xbox 360
Are there any downsides to having two switches on the network, the maximum traffic comes from the Readynas duo as that can transfer files at around 60MB/s from my PC to my Nas drive, with there only being an 10/100 Xbox 360 sharing the same cat5e line to the upstairs router I wouldn't imagine I am going to saturate the line? What are the cons of my current setup? I wanted to elimate all wifi apart from iPads and this was the best way I could think of.
Thanks
