I'm looking to upgrade my current Linksys E4200 V2 to either of the above models and I was wondering which of the above choices would provide me with the best range both on upstream/downstream and throughput. The E4200v2 is a great router but I'd like to be able to put alternate firmware on the new router and also have draft 802.11ac functionality as I will be purchasing devices capable of draft 802.11ac.
